Featured Player of the Week: A Serial Killer

Marshall Henderson, Ole Miss guard, is known to march to the beat of his own drum. The problem is, no other team can quite figure out how to join his band. When facing Ole Miss, teams almost end up being asked not what they will do to Henderson but what Henderson will do to them. Earlier this week after the Rebels upset the Wisconsin Badgers 57-46, Henderson told the media his coach always tells him to go out and be a "serial killer". Whether that was appropriate or not to say for the setting is left to your own discretion. Nonetheless all NCAA teams and fans are becoming aware of Marshall Mania, if they didn't already know. Henderson's eccentric and taunting nature has great potential to "affect the psyche of the other team. How can you avoid it?", says Ole Miss head coach Andy Kennedy.
Henderson averages 20 points per game for the Rebels and even got recognition from LeBron James as he tweeted during the Rebels and Badgers game on Friday:
"Man that dude Henderson from Ole Miss got the greenest light in basketball history!! Hahaha."
LeBron of course was referring to the fact that Henderson had missed 12 of his first 13 shots but was allowed to continue shooting it seemed whenever he got close enough to the basket. Despite his poor shooting to start, the Rebels pulled off the win and are looking to advance to the Sweet 16 as they take on number 13 La Salle in a game that has just tipped off on TruTV. Tune in and see what all the Marshall Mania Madness is about for yourself as he is truly a polarizing and unique player.
